Family Vacation
We recently returned from Myrtle Beach, SC where we met up with my parents, my brother and his wife, and all 3 of my living grandparents. It was a great week of rest and recovery…and golf. We played 4 days, and once again my dad beat me, Jason, and my grandfather for the week. I did get him one of the days, but I’ll get him next year.
August 31, 2007Back 2 School Bash
Our Back 2 School Bash was awesome. We rented a rock climbing wall, spider bungee jump, a bunch of inflatables, had free food, the band was AMAZING, and we gave away a bunch of stuff. At the end of the night we gave away a trip to New York City to a young lady in our High School Ministry. She was so excited….and so is Corrie. The deal was, if a girl won, she got to go with her, so she is pumped.
The really cool thing was that we had 50 first time High School visitors. Way to go guys. That’s awesome.
August 31, 2007Anniversary Sunday
August 12, 2007 was Anniversary Sunday at MPN. We celebrated 20 years in this location, 15 years with Pastor Mark and Udella on staff, and 10 years with them serving as the Sr. Pastor. It was a great day. A good number of our students participated in the choir and in the closing song. Pastor Mark also used Will Siple’s testimony in his message.
The end of the message was so powerful. They had a family on stage and they read their story in a drama. As this story unfolded, any member of the church that was a part of the ministries that touched this family came on stage and stood behind them. At the end their were 50-60 people standing up on stage with them. It was a great visual about people getting involved and touching the lives of others.
After a really cool video Pastor Mark asked people to fill out these cards to make themselves available for ministry this year. The response seemed to be great. We’ll see how it turns out.
It was a great day!

I didn’t know you could get Shingles if you were under 60 years old…but I got ‘em. The doctor tells me they are caused by stress and fatigue. So, maybe I need to slow down. We’ll see.
In all seriousness, this was the worst pain I have ever experienced. I’m sure that makes me a sissy, but it was HORRIBLE!
August 31, 2007High School Summer Camp
This summer we took a group of 104 to Panama City, FL for our High School Summer Camp. It was an incredible week. We had a lot of fun throughout the week playing games, punking students late at night, and goofing off together. We also had some incredible times of worship and teaching. The last night we baptized 40 students out in the ocean. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever been a part of.
